2026 Grant Programme
The 2026 Grant Programme is now open and accepting applications until 16 October 2026. The Trustees are seeking applications that align with the Trust’s charitable purposes and build on previous investments to foster the long-term growth of New Zealand’s tourism industry.
Funding Focus
Funding in 2026 will focus on these key areas:
Tourism Sustainability Commitment (TSC)
- Educational Impact: Projects should provide comprehensive and accessible educational tools for tourism operators. This includes workshops, online courses, and resource materials that clearly explain the principles of the TSC and how they can be implemented in daily operations. The goal is to ensure that all participants have a thorough understanding of sustainability practices and their importance.
- Business Capability Building: Projects should focus on enhancing the business capabilities of tourism operators. This can involve training in areas such as sustainable business practices, financial management, marketing, and customer service. The aim is to empower operators with the skills and knowledge needed to run their businesses sustainably and profitably.
Climate Change Adaptation
Projects should help communities become resilient and prepared for future environmental challenges.

Collaborations with Local Government, Iwi, and the Department of Conservation (DOC) are welcomed to enhance programme reach and effectiveness.
